Operated by the third generation of the Indavara family under MG Plantations — a name in Chikmagalur coffee since 1894 — Baarbara Estate sits at elevations ranging from 1,174 to 1,630 metres in the Western Ghats. Shade-grown Selection 795 Arabica thrives on steep hillsides rich in biodiversity, with tigers, barking deer, wild boars, and over a hundred bird species sharing the landscape. The estate holds UTZ and Rainforest Alliance certifications, and also cultivates black pepper as an intercrop. Carefully picked cherries are processed into washed and honey sun-dried lots.
