Planted around 1881 in paddy fields owned by 'Gopal', with natural streams (dhara) running through it. One of the highest tea gardens in Darjeeling at 1500–2300 m elevation across 320 hectares. Managed by Gopaldhara Tea Company Pvt Ltd (Saria family). Famous for exceptional muscatel and specialty teas.
